Dubai Fountain Reopens October 1, 2025

Official Announcement

On September 27, Emaar confirmed that the iconic Dubai Fountain will resume full operations on October 1, 2025, following a five-month closure for renovation.

Key Upgrades

The fountain closed in April 2025 for extensive refurbishment aimed at improving performance and durability.

New Foundation

A new floor was installed beneath the fountain to replace cracked surfaces. The system includes:

  • Waterproofing over treated concrete
  • Insulation and primer for better water retention
  • Special glowing blue tiles adding subtle radiance

Lighting, Sound, and Choreography

Technical improvements bring sharper lighting, clearer sound, and refreshed choreography, with both new sequences and updated classics.

Fountain Legacy

Since opening in May 2009, the Dubai Fountain has stretched 275 metres across Burj Khalifa Lake. Jets reach up to 140 metres, moving in sync with Arabic and global music. It remains one of the city’s cultural landmarks.

Schedule and Viewing Spots

From October 1, 2025, shows will run every 30 minutes from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Top viewing areas include the Dubai Mall promenade, Souk Al Bahar Bridge, Burj Park, and boat rides across the lake.

Why It Matters

The reopening marks more than a return of a popular attraction—it highlights Dubai’s commitment to immersive public art and storytelling, now enhanced with stronger visuals and deeper emotional impact.
